I am a native Montanan, having grown up in the mountains of Lincoln. I recently moved to Lewistown, Montana with a dream to do more of my artwork. Plus I just recently got married…hence the two last names!

I have been drawing since I was a kid. Of course, back then I was all about horses! They were my favorite animal (and still are) and I love creating art that shows the heart of the creature. I started with pencil drawings and then pen and ink. I moved into pastels and that turned into one of my favorite mediums. I love the detail I can get. I started experimenting with watercolor on Yupo a few years ago. Yupo is waterproof paper so the paint sits on top and the colors blend in unexpected ways.

Now my primary focus is painting with rusted metal. I started getting into metal art through my father who is a blacksmith artist. He was welding on rusty metal and asked me to collaborate on a few pieces with him. Since then I started collecting my own pieces of old rusty metal and painting on them. Searching the country side for old pieces of metal has turned into an adventure! Turning scrap metal into one-of-a-kind pieces of art!
